Threaded Stud Anchor System

The ABBSTUD has been designed for crash barrier and parapet post fixings. It is installed into the concrete so that the stud is protruding from the concrete surface, and the unit to be fixed is lowered over the protruding stud and secured with a nut. The ABBSTUD is made from stainless steel grade 316, and comes complete with a stainless steel hexagon full nut grade A4/80 and a stainless steel washer grade A4.

  • Only 24mm hole diameter required.
  • Fixing is corrosion resistant.
  • Fixing cannot be vibrated out.
  • Stress free fixing.
  • Fixing can be made to any length.
  • The ABBSTUD used in conjunction with ABBFIX resin anchor grout will provide a fully bonded seal against the concrete substrate, once it has cured and hardened.

Loading varies depending on anchor diameter, length of anchorage and application. Refer to technical sales for exact loading for each application.

  • Drilling should be carried out by using rotary percussive equipment. If diamond drilling is required where steel reinforcement is present, then the hole must be under-reamed or roughened.Your Content Goes Here

All holes should be clear of dust and debris, by using a compressed air lance or blow-out bulb in addition to wire brushing.

The ABBSTUD should be used in conjunction with ABBFIX Resin Anchor Grout, mixed according to the instructions on the pack.

To ensure complete encapsulation, it is recommended that the resin is poured into the hole prior to the installation of the ABBSTUD. Push the ABBSTUD down into the resin with a twisting action.
